Pedro Gemin was
born in Peru to a family that surrounded him with music from childhood.
His uncle was the Director and Conductor of the National Symphony
Orchestra of Lima Peru and most family members played musical
instruments. He began playing the accordion at the age of five and
continued until he was eleven years old then he switched to the piano,
the organ the flute and the tenor saxophone. His interest in the
accordion ebbed and flowed but always returned. He continued his formal
education completing his degree from the Jose Maria Valleriestra Music
School in Piura, Peru. In 1980 he first came to Houston and now makes
his home here. He has toured with bands in numerous places all over the
US as well as Europe and South America. He can be contacted at
